Server Virtualization
Virtualization, the cornerstone of all cloud technology, presents itself as a market technology increasingly in use and in an effective way to do more with less investment. In other articles, an approach has been taken to virtualization in its historical component since the 1960s with simple desktop virtualization to the day with complete systems such as VMware's ESX Server or Citrix Inc's XenServer. This article discusses the constant dynamism of the triangle between software vendors, hardware and their customers, inserted in technologies such as server virtualization, storage and networking.
The dynamism of the existing triangle between software vendors, hardware and their customers is a constant. Vendors such as VMware and Microsoft advertise their virtualization solutions highlighting added value such as efficient use of shared resources, centralized management, and dynamic migration; hardware vendors advertise lower power consumption, and greater interoperability and support; organizations look to this world with the ultimate goal of efficiency, productivity and costs. Virtualization appears as an effective way to do more with less investment.
